As a child I would dream Of the mountains Snow capped peaks Piercing holes In the sky Rugged paths Filled with rocks Full of hazards Cragged caves Sanctuaries Way up high I read stories Of wandering And adventure My mind saw What my eyes Could not see Snow storms raged Deafening noises Caused chaos Avalanches Unleashed Suddenly Deep within Lay the heart Of the mountain Filled with treasure Beyond Any dreams Always guarded By dwarf kings And dragons Such enchantments Are not As they seem Yet these mountains Still tower Within me Filled with perils To test Any soul And the child I once was Understands this: Conquering Inner fear Is the goal For the mountains Of childhood Are stories But the message They share Is the same Life is filled With tough quests And adventures For our purpose Is shaped Through our pain Find your guides When you climb Any mountain Choose them wisely Don't be Led astray Follow paths Deep within Seek your treasure As above, so below Is the way
