Chalice Well
Healing water Chalice well Sprung from depths As legends tell Mirrored surface Reflecting sky Heaven, earth In union, sigh Ancient yew trees Filter sun Entrance to Sweet Avalon Time retreats here Holds no sway Sanctuary beckons To those who pray Spirit, matter Intertwine In russet water Spring divine Seekers come Dreams of the grail Yet sacred waters Conceal their tale

I was brought up in a world of sacred waters and holy wells, (long before many households had their own running water) so this poem, Trudi, brought back a lot of memories for me. It was a time when religious belief, and belief in miracles was very strong.
I've heard much about Glastonbury. It looks like a tranquil place. I'd like to go there sometime.
This poem holds such a dream like quality full of such deep wisdom 🩵
