It's truly stunning. Is it in your new book? I've put it on my list. By the way, I noticed that we both chose the same cover, that shade out of tree branches, at least that's what it looks like to me.

This one isn’t in the book but I dedicated the book to Jan. She read all my poems! Yes the cover design came up with that when I put “sparks’ in the search!

I listened to this Trudi and it is such a moving tribute to Jan. I'm sure she received it - and I am hoping she sends you a humorous sign to show that she did. xo PS - I had to look up 'Penhaligon.'

Oh I hope she sends me a sign! ✨And Jan loved Penhaligon’s perfume. You would love the shop! It’s like an apothecary ✨

I remember and feel privileged (as your readers undoubtedly will) that you have shared this about Jan.

It is lovely to know her name

and that she read your poem before passing

A rare thing that to hear part of your own eulogy I think.

My partners sister died suddenly a short while ago.

Her funeral is next Wednesday.

My partner( English/poetry teacher wouldn't you know, funny that eh) will be reading her poem. One that she composed for her sisters 60th birthday. So her sister will have read it too. Albeit 14 years ago. But still a life perspective that captured her essence.

Wish you well, have some more mince pies to make.

Evening Steve. I think it’s lovely that your partner will honour her sister in that way on Wednesday. It’s a beautiful gift to share.

I hope your mince pies are good! 😊
