The Seed
A wedding verse
Many years ago When each day felt free Life was lived for love And there was space to be A seed was planted Within two hearts Destined to lay dormant During years apart As the seasons changed And the clock hands turned As mistakes were made And new lessons, learned Still, the seed remained Waiting patiently For the time and place For serendipity When the stars aligned And the time was right Two paths crossed once more Setting sparks alight Deep within each heart A tiny seed unfurled Intertwining roots As they faced the world Over time, it thrived Including family Fed with hope and joy Unconditionally Through tough times and good Still the seed grows strong Nourished by this love Ensuring all belong Many years ago Did the hand of fate Plant that tiny seed – Watch it germinate? Are we here today Not just to celebrate But bear witness to The path that true love takes? As the seasons change As the clock hands turn May this seed of love Keep you free from harm May the winds of change Bring you peace and bliss And as you walk through life – Know that love exists

Beautiful, Trudi. The poem grows like the passage of time and that spark of love is shared.
sooo lovely. that pause between the growth is the hardest part.. when we don't see the fruit. but look at that power. of the seed. loved this
