A gentle prayer

God grant me wisdom
So I may know
What hinders me
What helps me grow

God grant me patience
So I may hear
The guidance shared
When whispered clear

God grant me discernment
So I may choose
The higher good
Fearing not to lose

God grant me acceptance
So I may learn
To move on with grace
At unexpected turns

God grant me joy
So I may see
The way your love
Envelops me

God grant me gratitude
So I may feel
My way through darkness
And keep things real

God grant me humility
So I may sense
How best to serve
And release pretence

God grant me peace
So I may glow
With an inner radiance
As source feeds the flow
