Yes, the problem with living in the past and dwelling on memories (great or otherwise) that you may have had back then is that you are already missing the even better ones you could be living in or creating right now. Thanks, Trudi, for this gentle reminder.

You wrote about something I love. The past, the present, the future, this circular spiral of time that always catches us off guard. When the memory of things persists, it is not the past, it is the present, it is a guarantee that things remain here and now, and that in fact they were never the past, just a piece of time that always traveled with us.
