This poem exhibits for me exactly what it means to love God's creation as it is in all it's splendour, without wanting to alter anything. Trudi, I must look more closely at dragonflies!

Martin, these ones are stunning. A deep red with gold flecked wings. I’ve never seen anything like them!

And why were they created? To remind us, as you say, that beauty does exist.

From the opening word, glinting, this poem really lifts me up, Trudi. You can see the inspiration in the Tiffany artwork, too, in the lampshades, the light.

Yes! When the sunlight hit the dragonfly’s wings they looked exactly like a Tiffany lampshade 🌟

It's a great example of nature inspiring art.

The morning is a rebirth, a new opportunity to see the world differently. The dawn is refreshing, and just like beauty, we can wake up with our souls freshly awakened

That’s true, Rolando. Your early morning photographs are always lovely.

The poem is beautiful!

The photo is best of what you can take with your phone. With one of my Olympus Zuiko tele-objectives it could have been be absolutely stunning. Here the water scintillates and the dragonfly is blurred. With the Zuiko it could have been the other way around.

But then you have to take at least a small photo bag on your shoulder, and your dragonfly will look like your poem describes. Also, all this comes after having invested in a semi-professional gear, and practice the adjustments, the framing, etc. It is in itself an open-ended process, a passion, another art...

Your phone-made picture did, what it meant to: illustrated the moment, and let your words express the wonder you experienced. We all enjoy it🙏✍️

If you want to step forward, I can look around to find out a simplest setup, and see how much it costs. It would be just a camera with strong automatic features and a fine zoom lens from wide angle to tele, to begin with. (I am poisoned with Olympus, it beats everything size-wise. Sony, Pentax, Canon are all fine, Nikon is great, but a bit too expensive. You can download the pictures to your laptop/phone and share them with standard software and email. If you are on Mac/iPhone, all you need is the Photo App for the start. (I am Apple-crazy all the way)

If I managed to overwhelm you, sorry.

I’d like that, Zsolt. Thank you! The simpler, the better!
