Waiting Patiently

The soft grey clouds
Of morning
Tentatively hold back
Their burden of rain

The gentle light
Of a distant sun
Dissipates

Although it cannot 
Be fully seen
We trust it is there

Waiting patiently
In the wings
For an opportunity
To shine
